Evolution and development of symbiosis, body plans, cell types, and genomes

Symbiosis Genomics & Evolution Lab

At the Biodiversity Research Center, our lab promotes diversity in science by fostering curiosity-driven basic research in evolutionary biology. We are particularly interested in the evolution, developmental biology, and genomics of symbiosis in marine invertebrates. Utilizing next-generation sequencing, single-cell genomics, and imaging, we study several marine species as model systems to explore the biodiversity and evolutionary origins of symbiosis.

Research Topics

Our lab is a signatory of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). We are committed to changing what we value in research. | Link
